       You are seeing a slideshow, in alphabetical order, of images of 115 of the many poets represented on Eaglesweb.com.  Here is a timed game: How many can you identify by last name?  The first  is Addison (four and a half seconds for each image).  What mental associations do you have with the poet's last name in that period of time?  Is one association his first name, Joseph? Is another The Spacious Firmament on High? Is still another his playwright partner, Sir Richard Steele? Are the third and fourth the English periodicals, The Tattler and The Spectator?
       After you have seen all the images for the first time through, build your memory and knowledge of English language lyrical poetry by interplaying this slideshow along with the anthology.
